MEHTA introduces Solid core, Hot Pressed Wooden Fire Retardant Flush Doors. Generally conforming to IS-5509 (1980)

Different parts of the building are separated from each other into compartments by a fire resistiing construction in which openings for escape or other day - to activities are closed by doors, which have precise functions to fulfill in case of fire.

MEHTA FIRE RETARDANT DOOR is constructed in such a way so that it can withstand the severity of fire, for a specified time.

Flame retardant chemical used for treatment of doors shall generally be the following.

1. Combination of ammonium sulphate & ammonium phosphate. 2. Combination of ammonium phosphate & boron compounds.

Manufacturing process :

After giving the vacuum treatment to the timber, which helps prevent the timber against attacks of fungi and termite and the fire retardant chemicals increase the resistance of timber against fire. These timber now ready for the process of marking. Solid Core Fire Resistance Door. Here, on both faces of the door, 4mm. thick Non - Combustible Sheet 6mm. thick Marine Ply are pressed with synthetic resin like phenol formaldehyde.

Features of Non - Combustible Sheets : They are mainly composed of inorganic substances and prevent the spread of fire when assembled within the door. They do not emit toxic gas or amoke and are lightweight, rigid and robust. These sheets are not affected by insects, vermin and microorganism and will not nourish mould growth.
